Agents and the assistant

What a connected agent does, what the JobsAI Assistant does, how confirmation works and how to revoke consent.

Two different things: a connected agent and the JobsAI Assistant

JobsAI has two surfaces that help you with your job search. They differ in who runs them and what they may do.

  • A connected agent is a third-party AI tool (for example an assistant on your phone or computer) that you explicitly allowed to act on your behalf on the Agent authorizations page.
  • The JobsAI Assistant is part of JobsAI. You describe in your own words what you are looking for and receive a proposal.

Neither of them does anything without your confirmation.

What a connected agent does

A connected agent can propose eight kinds of actions: a change of your requirements, opening or withdrawing a question about a job, submitting an application, and accepting, declining, proposing or cancelling an interview slot. Every proposal appears on the Approvals page, where you see exactly what the agent wants to do and can confirm or decline it. The exceptions are submitting and withdrawing an application: the agent may do these directly, but only within the permissions you granted at authorization; submitting is additionally limited to jobs where the employer allows agent submissions, withdrawing applies to any of your applications. You see every such application in your applications overview and in the audit log.

A confirmation is one-time: it applies only to that single proposal and is consumed when the action runs. The agent cannot repeat the same thing without a new confirmation. Every execution is written to your audit log.

What the JobsAI Assistant does

The JobsAI Assistant turns your words into a proposal you can inspect and edit:

  • a proposal of changes to your requirements with a reason for every change: minimum monthly pay, employment type, working hours, remote work, regions, and where relevant night and weekend work or commuting,
  • at most three recommended jobs from the deterministic match with your profile, with evidence from verified conditions,
  • for each job, concrete steps derived from facts (you can apply, a condition is missing, a slot is waiting).

The assistant never acts on its own. Every step ends in the usual form (requirements in the profile, a question on the job, an application, an interview slot) with prefill, where you review the proposal and explicitly confirm it. The result is always the same object as when you fill in the form by hand.

When the assistant has nothing to propose, it says so. When it is switched off, its daily limit is used up or the model does not respond, it shows the manual path to the same forms.

What neither of them does

  • The JobsAI Assistant never submits an application itself; one is created only after your confirmation in the form. A connected agent may submit an application only within the authorization you granted, for jobs that allow agent submissions and within the employer's daily limit; otherwise applications are created only after your confirmation.
  • The JobsAI Assistant never sends your CV, contact details or address to the language model. Only your intent, your saved requirements and public job facts reach the model.
  • Job descriptions and employer replies are data for the model, not instructions.
  • The assistant has no write permission of its own and cannot bypass the confirmation in the form.

How to revoke consent

  • Disconnect a connected agent on the Agent authorizations page with the Revoke button. From then on it cannot propose or execute anything.
  • Revoke a specific approval on the Approvals page as long as it has not been consumed.
  • The JobsAI Assistant needs no standing consent. The proposal expires by itself and nothing is saved until you confirm the form.

Where to turn

If something happened that you did not confirm, write to us at [email protected]. Include the approximate time and the action concerned. Your audit log is on the Agent authorizations page.
